Olweus Bullying Prevention kick off
Dominican Catholic School held its third Olweus Bullying Prevention kickoff (OBPP) on Aug. 31 from 8 to 9 a.m. The event started with an anti-bullying parade. Immediately after, middle school students presented their chants, song and dance number. The event culminated with students writing their messages on an anti-bullying wall.

Faculty and staff recollection
Dominican Catholic School faculty and staff recollection and Mass of commissioning of teachers and staff was held on Aug. 2, 2018, which was facilitated by Rev. Father Danny Ferrandiz, chaplain and pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. It was followed by a fellowship lunch at the school cafeteria, which was sponsored by the school administration. 2018 ISTE Chicago Conference
