How do you pose for an awesome picture? Do you put together the perfect outfit? How about your hair and makeup? Did you get a new haircut or did you style it like a movie star?
On Aug. 14, 17 Minute Photo came to Dominican Catholic school for the annual picture day. Students, faculty and staff showed up looking their best with fresh haircuts and hairstyles. This was their time to shine. Everyone had fun posing and smiling for the camera.
Now, it’s the waiting game. Everyone is excited to see how their pictures turned out, then exchanging photos with their friends and giving some to families.
When asked why picture day is important and what they focused on, Orion Gomez, a fourth-grader, said, “It is important because I need a school I.D., and I didn’t want to pay for not having it. And I mostly focused on my smile.”
“I think it is important because it identifies us at school. And I mostly focused on my hair,” said Samantha Torcelino, also a fourth-grader.
When asked what was the one thing they like most about picture day, Gomez said, “I like that we get to smile in front of the camera.”
“I like picture day because it is a lot of fun,” Torcelino said.
